Poetry: Tome

Evening Dusk
by Serena Tome

Fertile imagination consumes
Physics’ spectrum wholly as an apple’s
Red. Ripe.
Moist anatomy succumbs
Sharp white phosphorus’ monotonous up
/
down
movements, sweet invigorating substance—
satisfies eye gate’s appetite for speculative
entertainment

Leaves
by Serena Tome

In]consequential martyrs
Speak beneath decomposing compositions oracles
furloughed
until
dehydrated sentiments fizzle
convictions refuse inwardly
to be dogmatic delegates
of self afflicted indigence
